Looked at a 76 300D

She needs work. The owner just by-passed the leaking oil cooler, that was a dumb thing to do. It has some aftermarket radio and speakers.

So here is what wrong with it:

Tie rods
Steering coupling
sway bar links
wheel bearing
window reg
front rear window seal
none of the blowers work(vacuum)
vacuum leaks
needs new seat pads all around(back is bad)
shifter bushings(can't tell what gear its in)
oil cooler and lines
MAJOR DEGREASING
Never has had a valve adjustment
The throttle linkage is SCREWED UP ROYALLY(I could barely drive it 60MPH)
Brakes, pad and calipers

the good:
engine is good
tranny is good
NO RUST(just a tiny bubble on the c-pillar)

When the pedal is floored the IP is only opened up about 1/3 of the way. And the pedal sticks on floor. When you push it down it stays down.

So what do you all think is a good price, 700?

$300-$500, but I don't have a burning desire to own one either, so.

It could be a lot of fun getting the car fixed up. Remember you are going to spend a lot of money doing it. Is this car the one you won’t to keep for a long time?
FYI I talked to Pierre over the weekend he seems to be doing good.
And we never got my parts car yesterday, we had to get a tow truck to tow my buddies truck home yesterday.
Not fun at all

Did you check under the floor mats and trunk mat? Seems like everything else is fixable or replaceable.

The fan may be an issue but you can open up the vents and drive it faster to get more airflow

Yikes. That's a major overhall. Long as you know what you're getting into I'd offer a flat $500.

Actually I think the brakes and wheel bearings are fine, it pulled strong to the left when braking hard but im almost 100% sure it was because of the BAD tie rod.

I don't think the AC blower works because of the vacuum leaks.

No rust on the floors at all.

To get the car road worthy I would need to replace the tie rods, oil cooler, throttle linkage work, sway bar links, and a new steering coupling, tires.
