1979 450SL starts great with a cold engine and runs good, but after it warms up, shut it off and it won't restart. Once it cools down it starts just fine. Awhile ago I posted this same question and had some responses regarding the fuel accumulator in the back, but have forgotten what to look for. I have good spark. I measured fuel pressure at the inlet to the fuel distributor, and with engine running, I have about 78 psi. After warm-up, shutdown fuel pressure drops to about 45psi and holds. During cranking (and not starting) it jumps back up to 75-80psi. Kinda stuck on this problem and could use any advice! Thanks!
