Benz name for overflow valve?

What is the name for the overflow valve on the engine side of the IP?
Most diesels call it an overflow valve but I can't find anything using that search. Also what psi is it set to relieve at?

Cheers

I believe it could be called a return check valve. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it's set at about 15psi.

The school of hard knocks just taught me that the electric fuel pump has to produce enough pressure & flow to overcome that valve with enthusiasm for the engine to run reliably.

Here are a couple of links that helped me to understand the operation. BTW the German link can be translated by Google. The wording is awkward but you'll get the point. The other concerns Porsche but the principle is the same.

Appreciate the info.

I also attend that school but given my record I'll likely never graduate.

Cheers

I'd like to know also. I think it is a dealer only item. I searched a lot! However, I did find some helpfull information with a diagram on another thread. It is recommended to take it apart, clean it, and make sure the spring is 26 to 27mm long. If not, gently stretch it to these dims. and reinstall it. Make sure to use one new o-ring and two new crush washers when you do. Also, search, "overflow valve" on this forum.

It's a Bosch item. Any decent diesel injection shop should have them. In my limited experience stretching the spring doesn't work well. For the price you may just as well buy a new one.
