W114 W115 windshield trim

Does anyone have the service manual CD or book for the W114/W115, or know how to remove the inteiror trim around the front windshield.

Im about to replace my front windshield, I already have the glass and seal I just need to figure out how to remove the trim.

Also, does anyone know if I have to remove the large A -pillar alum trim on the outside of the car to R&R the windshield? I think I can do it with out but I was just wondering.

Thanks

you do not have to remove the a-pillar trim, and seal just pops right out from windshield seal, mine was so dry rotted i had to cut/break a lot of the rubber pieces out to get the trim out without damaging it

It's been a while, but I think you have to remove the rear view mirror first. The two pieces along the top of the windshield slide (I think) towards the center.

I have the service manual CD but it says nothing about removing the windshield.

Thanks guys. I think I understand about the interior trim pieces.

But the outside a pillar trims appear that they must be removed, there isn't enough room to remove the trim from the old seal. This trim appears only to be on later W114's and w115's.

Yes i did sorry for not getting back with ya'll.

There are small tabs on the inside that need to be straightend and then you can pull off the alum moulding cover, then you can remove the screws that are behind that moulding to remove the a-pillar trim.
