Unless they're bad, I'd keep them on. If they are bad, unscrew the connectors & re-use them, just replacing the wire itself.

The newer Bosch wires don't have the resistor ends. If you have good resistor plugs, and you feel you need to install new wires, buy the new type Bosch wires that are marked as being for Mercedes V-8s. Seems to me there is no need to have high resistance ends on wires AND resistor plugs.

The coil don't interchange, you can set timing with light bulb. + to battary - to green wire to points. set engine on timing you want, then turn dit. till light lights that is close enought to start. I will try the test for box that sound like that will work, and come in handy.
