4.5 oil pump chain/sproket
Has anyone had any experience with worn oil pump chain or sprockets on the 3.5/4.5 engines? Mine is a '72, and I certainly needed cam chains and sprockets, and wondered if the oil pump chain and sprocket set up might also be expected to be worn out at the same time. I'm still tryiing to track down an elusive whine in the engine, especially when warm. I have already eliminated all the hang-on accessories.

I bought a new crank gear for mine for when I change the chain. I would think the crank gear would wear more since it is smaller and revs twice as much than the cam gears.
