The supposedly "proper" way to adjust the shift points control rod is to:
Disconnect the carb to bellcrank linkage. Transmission rod should be pushed to a full "back" position. The over the engine bar should be adjusted in length to "touch fit" and re-installed. You should be able to snap the ball in the socket without needing to move either the rod or the bar. Do this at the idle stop throttle position. |
