W108 - stiff rear end
Im not sure what it is, but when I accelerate from stop, or driving slowly over a bumpy road my rear suspension creaks alot. Not groaning, or anything, it just creaks as if a spring is really stiff or something. I know its got the independent rear end, but thats all I know, im not in the suspension know how.
anyone had this problem before? cheers, Luke

Do the easy, cheap stuff first,
Trailing arms forward rubber bushings. Rear upper mount (inside trunk) Shocks McKay rubber lube everything else. But you have to put eyeballs under the rear. It may need more than the quickie parts Then there are the expensive parts |

pivotpin bushes
sometimes the two grease nipples for the pivot pin (lower center of diff )get neglected due to blockage causing a creaking noise
