Blue high-beam indicator permanently on.

Can someone post schematic or trouble-shooting info for model below?

The PDF is about 275kb if your email can handle it. Need to know if it's December 1970 to May 1972 or May 1972 to August 1973.

At a quick glance, the light is powered off fuse 9 which also powers the right high beam.

At the lamp, the high beam wire is white (low beam is yellow). From the high beam switch to the fuse it's white. From the headlight switch to the high beam switch its white with yellow stripe.

My first thought is that the high beams really are on, second though is that the high beam switch failed and someone has swapped the leads at the lamps to the low beam side. Third thought is that the flash to pass switch has failed. Fourth thought is someone miswired the gauge cluster.

PM me about the PDF.

Michael

If both headlights are on high beam, I would check the combination switch/stalk first. I assume lights have switch on dash that is independent of stalk operation, so you could just try unplugging the big combination stalk plug under the dash to see if high beam goes off. If high beams go off, but regular lights work, problem is in the stalk. If high beams stay on, you have a crossed wire between regular lights and high beams.

Good luck,

Bert
