Upgrade????????

Bought a 67 250 SE with 4-speed manual to find a bad exhaust valve. Head off, found it has a 280 FI motor. Did a valve job and man, does this fly. Tricky injection system. Barking back and stumbling at light load. Turned in the air bleed screw and reduced that some but not all. Have it at 14 degrees advanced at 800 RPM. What is the injection system called and might I find a function description?? (Also stumbling my way through the cis on the 76 450SEL--so I'm a little aware of the operation.) This car is a powerful thing for a six and a sleeper with the 250 badge. ( But no heater---no fan motor ) A classy hot rod.

Before doing anything drastic be sure the basics are OK and adjust the linkage.

Wow! Thanks for that. Should go a very long way to solving problems.

This site is a lifesaver--and continues to educate me in the specifics of these fascinating marvels.
