I have had bad luck with the Holley 2300 series, but I love the Autolite 2100/Motorcraft 2150 carbs. I have run them in conversions on many vehicles, from a built Ford 300-6 to a 2.3 in a Ford Courier. They are stone-age simple, no gaskets below fuel level, and rebuild kits are $15 or less. Any air cleaner for a 4BBL fits, and they are available from 285cfm to ~480cfm. A 1.21 (335cfm) seems to be the most tunable, since the size/CFM rating is the venturi diameter, all use the same throttle plates.

yes that can be done the make spring kit Hollet p/n 20-13 for that and a quick change kit p/n 20-59 makes changing spring quicker and tailoring easier.

That's along what I was hoping to hear. One concern with most of the 2100's I've seen is I'm not sure the electric choke will fit on the M110. I can probably cobble something, but I'd prefer a manual choke model from the start. They are around but a bit fewer and further between. Question, what bolt pattern are they? I've seen rochester small and large 2 barrel and Holley 2 barrel, but no mention of Autolite. I can drill and make fit but if I can buy one off the bat I would.

If you want a brand new 2BBL, the Holley fits that, but they need a ton of attention to be set and kept right. The 350cfm and 500cfm versions are available brand new from Summit for under $300. The jetting kit is $60, and you will want the non-stick gaskets as well since that fuel bowl will be off and on a bit.
