Check with door latch to make sure its engaging the striker that is attached to the door frame. What happens when you have the door open and press the button on the handle, does the latch move freely? Try the same from the inside handle. The door lock may be stuck in the locked position, try to use your key and manually disengage. With out isolating the problem we cant be of much help so try to give us some more information after you isolate the problem.

I had this problem on a 123 and it turns out the lock mechenism was just gunked up with dirt and grease.

I removed it from the door, which really was not that hard, cleaned it and oiled it, and upon re-installation it worked like new.

You might try removing the door panel and spraying some carb cleaner on it and that might free it up.

You might also be hung up with a mal-functioning vac actuator on your lock. Sometimes these can get out of snyc with the rest of the system. Working the lock up and down can sometimes bleed the vac off of them so they release the lock.

Really, with no more info than you have given it is hard to say for sure, but a lot of times on a problem like this there is not much more info to give.

Hopefully some of this will help.
