Saw the car when it was on display at the Imperial Palace. The car was shot up & rusty. The Imperial Palace took it off of display because of "claimed" outrage by the viewing public. Don't know if that's true or not.

I saw it at Imperial Palace as well some years back. Was displayed behind glass for many years. I always thought it was a little odd. The car has bullet proof glass all the way around and armor plating, yet it had a folding soft top. Cadurning is right. The car was a little beat up.

When Hitler's fuhrerbunker was finally overrun, in May 2, 1945, by the Russian army, next door, in the Reich's chancellery garage, about seven Mercedes Benz 770s, sedans and covertibles from the Hitler fleet, were recovered intact.
For about a week, some of them were spotted being driven around Berlin by Russian officers. After that, none of the vehicles were seen again and their fate remains unlcear.

It was an Urban myth created by both the casino and the car dealer who was out to rip off a russian millionaire . Said car dealer is well known in Europe for stunts like this. The car was never Hitlers ,in fact fact he never owned a car or could even drive.
There were several of these mercedes that the casino owned and they have been floating around for decades . This was an old article and and i don't think the Russian ( if he ever existed ) went through with the deal. |

yes,yet another crap peice simply stating what the guy in the picture made up fpor his own benefit. His name BTW is michael Frohlich.known in Germany as the "notorious Herr Frohlich".
The cars were never "lost" having been part of the casinos collection for years ,and they were never Hitlers own cars ,although it is likely they were part of Daimlers Fleet which they hire out to government departments for official use as they still do today. He didn't have to 'Find them' as the Casino have made it known for years that they were for sale and anyone who knows prewar mercedes knew about them. The blog article (copied from a Frohlich press release) doesn't stater any facts about when and where the cars were shipped .Typical speculator bull**** basically. Read the first few lines of this blog to see where mr Frohlich was coming from... http://www.nitrobahn.com/vintage/rediscovery-of-adolf-hitler’s-1935-mercedes-benz-770k/ |

Reminds me of Bonnie and Clyde's car that was shot up by Federal Agents in North Louisiana.
I've seen two different "Bonnie and Clyde" cars on display around the country over the years......one at the State Fair of Texas 20 years ago, and one last year at a Casino in NW Missouri, in St. Joseph, MO. -Neither resembled the other in any way. They can't all be authentic, unless they were driving a fleet of cars simultaneously, when they died. |

New member, been looking at the posts. This one caught my eye.
My boss has a lot of very important vintage cars including some very important Mercedes, auto union, lots of F1 and others. One of the cars is the Mercedes given to Mussolini by Hitler, quite interesting although a bit dark, complete with photos of them both in it. |
