'78 450sel $700.00

here's the link:

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/cto/1729377829.html

i looked at this thing last summer; he wanted $1000.00. it has some rust on the passenger side rocker (surprise surprise) and interests me only because the climate control suggests euro? (probably not) anyway, your patience and input is appreciated.

i could pick up for $500.00. but do i really want to?

It's worth more than that in parts. If I had play money, I would.

There is nothing "Euro spec" about that car. What is up with the paint? Still, the W116 are excellent cars. I should know, I have a 1980 300SD. The price seems reasonable.

I think that paint is radar absorbing, like what the military uses. :p

i would in a heartbeat, but then I love to part these cars, just so I can learn. I parted out an 83 380 without an engine for north of 2 grand. Then again sink some in her and if you have the wrench skills , end up with a fun run about

Thats an AWESOME $700 car. I'd buy it if I didn't live on the other side of the country.

Here's a similar one for twice the price ($1,450 or offer). It has the typical broken-down leather seats. The car is at a dealership near me and if someone buys it, I will throw in $150 for the grille guard/overrider set.
