Where is ground for 1978 240D Aux Fan

Where is ground for 1978 240D Aux Fan

I notice that when I ground the temp sensor for the fan it pulls in the relay for the aux fan. However it does not come on. So i connected 12volts to the relay pin that sends the voltage to the fan and it still did not come on. Could it not be grounded? Any ideas. Where is it grounded at?

Any help would be appreciated
