1976 280C frt. window adjustment.

It seems that the front window is too high. I have to press it a little bit from the top in order for it to bite below the rubber molding upon closing, otherwise it'll close wrong. When I'm inside I lower it a little bit and then raise it so it'll close correctly.
I have adjusted it before but it doesn't last long or maybe I haven't adjusted it correctly. Any ideas, tips wold be appreciated.
Thanks in adavance.

Re: 1976 280C frt. sindow adjustment.

These are long, heavy windows that need to be properly located in the channels within the door.

There should be some sort of allen-bolt adjustment beneath the chrome plate at the back of the door cap to keep tension on the rear of the glass as it rises to prevent it from tilting fore and aft.

If the regulator, channels and associated hardware are lubricated and adjusted properly the coupe windows work surprisingly well.

Here is everything I know about it:

114 Coupe Window Problems

I remember the adjustment was less than obvious.
