York Compressor Noise?
The Yorkie on my M110 engine is not the original, but it's about 20 years old with minimal use. 6 months ago I topped of the ester cold flowing oil in the crankcase of Yorkie and recharged the R-12. It blows nice and cold, so I don't want to replace the compressor just to eliminate the noise I'm hearing, which sounds like a bearing. My question is this: Is it possible for the clutch to making this noise?
Obviously I would prefer to renew the clutch rather than the compressor, if I renew anything.

Thanks Panzzer, but if I ever change it, I get a rotory compressor like the later M110s used. Right now the idea is to keep the freshly-charged system closed.

Naturally. I think I'm going to keep one of the new ones for Ben. The other new one might go on the ponton....or sold. I think I have 2 used ones; those things are all over the place.
