6.9 Harmonic Balancer

Mine has been grooved by oil seal over the years and will not seal properly now. it leaks. can i by a new harmonic balancer any where to fit a 6.9?

There may be a "offset" or repair size seal. I know for my car there is a repair size seal which offsets the seal to a unused surface.

The damper on a 6.9 is separate so you don't need a new one. What you need is a new Hub and seal . Hub is part number A100 032 03 07 and you can buy them direct from mercedes or the Classic Center in Irvine California.

many thanks to mercmad6.3. I bought a new pully wheel for my harmonic balancer and had it installed. Its the first time that i have had no oil leaks on this car since i acquired it over 12 years ago. Its a great feeling.
