I keep saying that if you want to drive a fast German car with a manual transmission, get a BMW. But no one believes me (on this forum). Still, that said, I think that this is my favorite W114. The likeliness of me finding one in the US is remote at the least.

We had them when they were new (I have lost count of the 280 and 280E's i have owned.) and even when new the Manual box was a bualky thing to use and it was hard to change fast. Contemporary English Fords had a far better gear shift.
