Haha

There loud little buggers at 70-80MPH, I cant imagine 100MPH! I've always been to afraid to go much faster than 85MPH just because there is no RPM gauge and at those speeds they are wound up pretty high. How was the handling?

I've had my Charger at speeds that I would never take a hand off the wheel to hold a camera at

My 108 handled fairly well at 100+ until around 120-130. Except I would never go into a corner at those speeds with the swing-axle setup! Nice to see a 250 get up there, although it took a while.

Not the metal part, I just havent really begun Operation:Interior yet. As it is I've still got the entire interior to replace, but before I can start on that I've got a laundry list of other stuff to get done, but that wasn't gonna stop me from enjoying the driveability of my w114

I was really impressed with the M114 engine at that speed, it's really really smooth. The passenger compartment is absent of buffetting with all four windows down, and the suspension copes wonderfully, even as worn out as Wilmas is.

I've driven plenty of W114's at that speed and faster quite often. It's what they were designed for . Also, when everything is right noise isn't a factor. If the cars noisy there is something wrong.
If the engine is maintained properly there is worry with high revs,it's when oil and water is neglected that the problems start.

I took my 250CE to 115mph (about 10 years ago). It was as stable as a rock but the temp started to creep up at that speed which is why I backed off.
