'74 280C For Sale Cheap!
Hey Folks,
I posted about this a couple of weeks ago, but no interest. Thought I'd run it up again and see if anyone wants a project. I bought a 1973 280SE from an older Gentleman in Maryland and would up with a '74 280C as part of the deal. The 280SE sat for 13 years under a tarp, but I'm happy to report it is up and running again! Love those 4.5s! The 280C sat for about two years (per the seller). Drove to where it was parked. The gas smells like you'd expect it to. Varnish, anyone? No idea about brakes - assume they need work. The body has typical rust issues on the rockers and rear quarters, but it is not a basket case. The dash and interior are not bad at all really - better than you'd expect. The oil and water are still in the engine. Turns over freely on jumper cable but I have not attempted to start it. Need to do some fuel line work before it will fire. The engine bay appears intact. The chrome is either on the car or in the trunk. No broken glass and two of the four windows rolled down on the switches when attached to a jumper cable. I have an open MD title. Some records up to about the 40,000 mile mark. Sold new in MD, so it did not go far. Four mismatched (junk) tires. No hubcaps or hood star. I have keys. It can't sit here (Beaufort, SC) for long. I need to make some room. I won't part it (no time). Buy it whole and part it or restore and drive. Showing 21,000 on the clock now, so assume 121,000. Make me an offer for something more than the scrap man will pay and it's yours. I'd hate to see it crushed! Anyone want a project? Eric

Bummer that it's a '74 with the bigger bumpers or I'd buy those from you. Best of luck on the sale.

1971 250C
I wonder if you are still interested since your post was April 2011. The car is St. Cloud, FL and yes, it is still for sale. It is being worked on by Aaron, my indy. His phone number is 4079136372. My name is Ruben 407-493-6141, I am the owner. At this point, I am just trying to recover my investment. Call me.
