should i try searching for the yellow lights for my 240D? i have one in the trunk with a crack in the lens, but the installed lights are clear. i like the look of the yellow lights.

any suggestions?

Make the current lights yellow with some DupliColor Metalcast paint.

You can put it on either. DanielStern suggests painting the lens.

I just bought 2 new glass lenses for my 450 - I'm going to give it a try and will post the results - sounds a great idea to me!

well I tried the paint on my 2 new lenses and it looks good (they are sitting on a dark background). I will install them this weekend and let you know how it goes. here are some pics

the lenses

warming on the warm stove

the paint

from the inside after 1 coat

from the outside after the 3rd coat

if they turn out to be too dark I will just soak them in thinners for a few days and start again

cheers
Barri
