Fintail Workshop Manuals on Ebay

Hello Peaches,

I have listed my two-volume Mercedes Benz workshop manuals on Ebay. I am raising money to buy rocker arms and ball stud assemblies for my engine in the Emerald Bullet. You can see the listing here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280611925483

These are pretty rare to find. The bidding starts at $0.99. Good luck!!

Jeffrey

Jeffrey,

Two quick questions:

1. I assume they're in English?

2. Do these contain the parts book (reference that breaks down the car with diagrams and correlating part numbers for just about every small part you could imagine)?

These are probably stupid questions, but either way, I'm probably interested. I'll be sure to watch the auction and decide how long it will be until I ship my 230S down to TX! (can't wait!!!)...although, mine's a 66 with the slightly updated (i.e. less extravagant) interior. On the other hand, at least I have front disc brakes and no remote booster (I remember your fiasco with that one...).

Enough rambling,

David

Yes, they are in English. No they are not parts books; although they do reference some part numbers when it is relevant.

Great! Thanks! Like I said, I'm not sure (depending on how tomorrow's interview goes) when / if my 230 S is coming down to TX. If soon, I'll buy your books. In the meantime, best of luck with the auction.

Best Regards,

David

So if I understand correctly, this is for the Big Blue Book (BBB) 1959-1967 earliest edition mounted in notebooks rather than bound. Is that correct? The BBB is an excellent source of information and the pictures are MUCH better than either the DVD or even later versions of the BBB.

IN general, the dealer parts book is a completely separated and unrelated manual. It is model-specific, where as the BBB is for all cars 1959 - 1966ish, then there is a later BBB for 1967 - 1971 ish.

is the cover blue?

Hey Jeffrey.

Is the cover blue? My screen resolution sometimes messes with pics. This is the 4 ring binder "service manual" that is about 2+ inches thick, correct?
