Steering wheel hub question

Peachers,

I am trying to install a Nardi steering wheel on my '72 250C with a hub I purchased from Crowder's that is (supposedly) intended for the vehicle, but when I tighten the new hub down after removing the original steering wheel, it sits tight on top of the steering wheel column / housing and can't turn. Is there a spacer that is needed so the hub can turn, or am I doing something wrong? The original wheel seems to be a one-piece unit that turns on a hub that is built into to the wheel, but again when I remove this and attach the replacement hub, it sits flat and immovable against the housing. So I am stuck, literally. Any help would be much appreciated!

Anyone out there with a possible answer to my question? Does the rotating hub assembly on the steering wheel come off, so you can use it to mount the Nardi wheel? Anyone out there with a Nardi wheel on a 250C who can let me know how they have mounted it? THANKS

I would double check with Crowders, it sounds like you have the wrong hub. Cceck the diameter of the spline to the opening in the hub also. On my 107 the spline diameter was changed in 78.
