115 wiper prob.

I have a 1975 300D. The intermittent wiper setting does not work. The normal and fast settings work but not the intermittent. Since the fast and slow speeds work I assume it is not a fuse. Is whatever controls the intermittent speed located in stalk or somewhere in a black box that is going to be absolutely impossible to get at? Thanks.

could be in switch ( contacts) which can be dismantled and sometimes repaired or in the relay within the wiper motor

Thanks Ron. I thought that if the motor worked on high and low speed then the problem must be in the unit that sends the power to the motor. I have a feeling that the problem is in the stalk handle at the contacts that engage when you turn the knob. I don't want to believe this since I am sure that the knob can not be gotten into to repair.

Do you know if there is a separate relay for the intermediate operation?

There is the wiper relay under the dash on the drivers side which could be bad..

Do you know if there is some sort of timer that causes the wiper to work intermediately. It seems to me that something would have to tell the motor to cycle.
