Some are rebuildable. Please check www.m-100.cc fuel management section. Here is an example.
http://www.m-100.cc/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2529 The injection systems are the same, except for the engine part that is. There is a lot of good info there. Also check www.sl113.org because there is also much good info there too. I also understand that Holley has a pump that will work. your FP is a low pressure high volume feed pump so you can't use a EFI feed pump.

After seeing all the gummed up gas(clogged) in the fuel pump what other steps would I take in order to start this MB ie fuel line, injectors. Thanks

Start from the tank (clean it out) ,tank strainer, pump filter, replace all the rubber lines back there, replace the hoses in front and the filter .
You can use the EFI feed pump from a W123-126 etc as they will only pump a high pressure if there is blokage. You need 14PSI constantly,no more and no less . Volume should be 1 liter in 30 Seconds. The next step is to fire it up and see how it runs. if it wont fire DO NOT TOUCH the injection until you have checked the compression with a leak down test on all cylinders. Overhauled the ignition thoroughly . And checked the condition of the linkages because any wear will prevent correct running . it needs to ber set up properly (correlation) to prevent lean or rich running above idle. |

There are fine mesh filters before the fuel pump, injection pump and cold start valve and they need to be clean. So, the complete fuel system needs to be clean as stated in the M-100 forum. Read the posts, clean the parts and use new hoses and get new fuel damper parts. Get a subscription to the MB EPC so you can look up the parts and see how they all go together.
