Another W108 / W111 compatability question

Although my 1966 250SE coupe is Fitted with the 280 M130 engine it has been fitted with the M129 oil filter block and heat exchanger tank mounted on the left hand engine mount.
I have found a 280SE radiator for sale with the oil cooler mouted on the side, the seller doesnt want to or cant be bothered to measure it for me, does anyone know if this will be a straight swap for my old 250 SE radiator.
My radiator is approx 595mm wide and 585mm high with 3 fixing bolts on each side.

I have the 280SE oil filter block and connecting pipework so can connect to it if it will fit

The radiator on mine is 23" wide, plus another 3.25" for the oil cooler.

The Radiator for the 250SE is A 111 500 10 03, which is used with the heat exchanger.

For the 280SE there are two different radiators:

A 111 501 00 01 for chassis up to 003544 (with high grill)

A 111 501 05 01 for chassis from 003545 (with low grill).

If you don't know the difference in grills, look on Ebay at a W111 280SE 3.5...they all have low grills while all W111 220SE and 250SE have high grills. Most W111 280SE 6 cylinder engines have the high grill but there are definitely both versions.

It may be prudent to have your existing radiator rebuilt unless you can physically compare two grills side-by-side.

Thanks for the replies my existing radiator is a 111 500 10 03 and at 595mm it is 23 inches wide so it looks like the 280 radiator with side mounted oil cooler is 3.25 inches wider than my existing so doesnt look like it will fit the 250 SE front panel.

If I get chance I might go and see this 280 radiator and take my existing one with me to compare them.

thanks again for the information much appreciated

Just to clarify, my radiator itself is 23 inches wide...the oil cooler is a separate item. So, if you just need the radiator, you ought to be all set. Buy the 280 radiator and sell the oil cooler
