That is not a valid part number per Google, either. Other than this forum post, ******** and some other links come up & say it's a Bosch P/N for a starter solenoid.

If you aren't sure what the seal itself is called, what are you looking for - describe it as best as you can so we can help. Is it 6.3 (engine) specific, 109 (air suspension) specific, or is it more general & possibly on other vehicles (like the steering pump or gearbox, etc)?

It's not a mercedes Number,if it was it would start A xxx.xxx.xx xx
0330106001 is a bosch number and it shows up as a starter solenoid with a retail price of $103 .
So if you can get one for $20 you are doing rather well. Can you share with us exactly what it is ?

Cold start solenoid. Which part are they charging you for? the solenoids are lot dearer than $20. If they were only 20 bucks I would order a gross. I suspect it's the seal they are charging for. it's a small neoprene O ring that goes between the valve and the solenoid to prevent fuel leakage. the Solenoids last forever and it's rare for one to fail.

the solenoid part number is A000 074 03 88
and the seal is part number A001 997 7540

Contact Tom Hanson at the mercedes classic center in Irvine Cal. and ask what the price is,direct from mercedes themselves.

$20 per seal sounds about right for 6.3 parts - if not really cheap for dealer pricing. Standard rubber would melt from the gas in no time.

it's just an O ring but it's fuel resistant and with todays high alcohol content ( and heaven knows what else) you need neoprene or nirtile as the minimum. It's a 5mm by 1.5 size from memory.
