W108 print adverts and reviews in magazines?

I have a 1972 280SE with a 4.5 V8, and was looking for someone on the internet that sells magazine advertisements for that year. Any ideas?

Also, does anyone know of magazine reviews for the W108?

I saw someone in the past (on the internet) had this type of stuff but can't find it now.

Thanks - Pat

Not exactly what you're looking for, but here's a 109 article where Car and Driver set up Don Gartlis with a 6.3:

Pat,
There is a cool book that has tons of road tests from the day from lots of different magazines like Autocar, Road & Track, etc. called Mercedes-Benz S Class & 600 1965-1972 by Brooklands Books.

Cool book, but expensive!!

Ad:

That book you suggested is great. I have the same book for Land Rover, and a few other makes.

But, the Mercedes version of this book is out of print, and you can get used copies on Amazon for US$500 or more!

Expensive hobby I have gotten myself into.

Found a Road&Track November 1971

Team:

I kept looking and looking and found out Road&Track from November 1971 has a review of the exact model I am after (and I currently own), the W108 with a 4.5 V8.

It was on Ebay for 12 bucks.

Found a preview scans of the book on Google Books
http://books.google.com/books?id=BbQZn8yxgN8C&lpg=PA60&ots=YnMDgzVMVC&dq=0760319529&pg=PA50#v=onepage&q&f=false

In the book author claims that stacked headlight were US spec lights and Europeans retrofitted those headlights into their cars.
I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure that is not correct. Eurospec cars did have stacked headlights as an option. Even though they looked like US lights they were very different.
