114/115 Transmission Compatibility

One prospective buyer wants to know whether his 220 gas model with a 722.205 variant can use my six-cylinder transmissions (722.202, 722.102) from '73-'76 280 sedans as an alternative--any experience with this?

Many thanks

Different lower ratios .so he will find the 200 lugging a bit until it reachs a higher speed and it may not change down properly either. The parts are available to rebuild those trannys so it would be easier to fix than swap in the wrong tranny...although it will fit.
