1970 220D gas engine swap

Hello,

Any thoughts on swapping a 1972 250 gas engine into my 1970 220D. I've got a good deal on the 1972 250 with a very strong drive train. My 220D is a 4 speed manual the 250 is auto. I am hoping to swap the engine and plumbing and mate to my 4 speed. Anyone with any experience here or technical know how? Thanks.

Jim
