Gauges in w115 240D

So I pulled my gauges in m 76 240D to fix the bad rheostat (jumper it), and in the process I ripped what looks like a light tube, on the right side of the gauges, next to the tach. It had three fiber cables coming out of it, and I ripped them out right at the connector. Is this repairable? What did I take out?

Those go down to light up the stuff in your console and heater controls. You should be able to gingerly slip them back into the brass collar and secure them with a drop of super glue. Make sure they pick up the light properly first. The collar slips into a little off- white receptacle on the back right side of the instrument cluster.
