W114 230/8 custom made stainless exhaust system

Just to share with everyone my custom made stainless exhaust system. It was'nt as I expected, I just want a deeper sound but it came out like sports car. However, performance on start and medium speed is greatly improved and drive like a performance car.

Is a 2.3L 6 cylinder.
I am really glad to replace the whole exhaust system, because the exhaust smell is more acceptable now. It used to be very strong smell I guess is because all the silencers are rusted and the exhaust did not get burned properly.

Anyone with a technical explanation for the 'V' section where the pipes merge together . Is this For Noise reduction or performance?

It is for both, the join has a hole which is typically 40mm dia. The pressure from both sides can join together and be equalized . This both improves performance and reduces Noise. Chrysler discovered this in the 1950's,early 1950's in fact.
