Nitkse is often quoted but as time goeas on and the archives are opened further his book has become irrelevent because of the many mistakes . The actual numbers of manual trans cars could be discovered if one was to spend a few hours reading the data cars in ther archives ..they would have to be manually read because they are still on typed cards and i doubt there is a burroughs machine around that can read the punch cards..

I never want to see another punch card. When I was in the Military I maintained equipment that processed punch cards and it was a pain.
I was just curious about the numbers-it's not worth putting any real effort into.
