Umm, no. Not a "grey market" and pictures #6, 11 and 12 tell me this is a rust bucket. You notice no pictures of the boot deck, the cracked wind screen gasket and the open carburetor complete with therm-actor exhaust manifold.

Lawn art. Scrap metal price of $300.00 minus tow charges.

The last thermal reactor manifold I priced was right at $1,600. I think the only cars sold in the US with the reactors were west coast zone cars making this a very rare item. These reactors also crack and then leak hot exhaust gases which burns the paint off the hood.

It is easy to replace this manifold with one from a rest of the US car. It might not be cheap but it is doable. You need to replace both the front and rear exhaust manifold and the downpipe to the exhaust pipe.

And if anyone ever does this then look for a euro version manifold. They don't have the EGR valve.

Apparently it's possible to transplant a five-speed gearbox into a W110:

I'm thinking he missed a decimal point in the pricing.

It must be a 1960s ZF 5 speed, rather than a 1970s/80s Getrag. What a great car. It's interesting how the power steering was retrofitted, and thus the battery had to be moved to the trunk.

The price is high, but someone put a lot of effort into making this into a NICE car, though those hose clamps are driving me crazy.

I've been looking for a non-rusty W111 with a sunroof and no engine for about 10 years now, without much luck.
