Ok, I think we have narrowed it down. I flushed it the the beginning so I will rule out blockage due to clutter. The leaves either the compressor or the expansion valve. Do you agree?

It's either the compressor or the expansion valve, no doubt. But I would think it's more likely the expansion valve and if new it's much easier to exchange than the compressor.

The York comp is is pretty robust. I say unlikely to be the source of the problem, especially if yours is newish. Expansion valve is very easy to change. get a high quality OEM replacement.

Let's start over. Since I have piulled vacuum three times and attempted to put gas (freon) and could never get but about 6oz in gas, I have decided to start over. I have pulled the compressor to make sure how much oil is in her. I have checked for blockage by blowing compressed air through the high side line and low side line. All line are free and air flows. Does anyone have any other suggestions before I put the compressor back in? Help please this project is about to get me.

OK Guys and Gals.....I think I have found my problem. It is the compressor. I pulled the compressor and put it on my work bench and cut the ends out of a rubber glove. I put the finger portion of the rubber glove over the high and low side. Took my all purpose tool (vice grips) and turned the compressor shaft about twenty times. I had expected the high port finger to stand erect and low side to suck down. High did as expected. Low side blow the rubber finger completely off. I didn't believe what happened. I did the test again and got same results. If this is true test I would encourage everyone that buys a rebuilt compressor to do the same test prior to installing because Auto Hauze will not honor the warranty because it was not installed by the AC Certified person. Please reply if you think the glove test on suction side should suck or blow? Do you agree or disagree with me, this compressor is bad. I am ready to order a new one but not from Auto Hauze because I am sure this one was dead on arrival.

both sides cannot be "exhausts" something is amiss, I believe you are onto something . i would ask autohauz what could possibly be altered in the compressor simply by bolting in on the car and trying it ?

FWIW, these guys were awesome to work with when I was having a lot of issues sourcing a BMW compressor. they seem to know thier stuff

AC compressor

Bad rebuilt compressor. Vendor would not replace the compressor because a AC Certified person did not install it. I told them the car never made out of my garage because I could only get 6oz of gas in it and the low side pressure shot up 90lbs and high side did not get over 110lbs. I also told them my bench test with the rubber glove fingers failed due to low side creating pressure instead of suction. Still did not get it replaced. I ordered a new compressor from another vendor that did not require AC certified installation. Bench test on this compressor passed the test. I will install compressor on 8/12. I think I will take it to my garage that only works on MB & BMW and let them pull vacuum and charge the system. Worth the $150 to make sure all other compoents are working.

Ac cold air flowing

Thanks to all. I now have cool air....I see a lot of issues posted but few resoultions. My solution was order another compressor. Yes the last one was bad and A***haus would not replace. I installed the 2nd compressor (from a different vendor) and charged it today....Works great. Thanks to all that helped me on this. Lot of good minds out there. First time I have used the Forum and it is great they way people share information.
