Wanted: period w110 and w123 ads.

Hi all,

I hope this is the right forum to post this in: I am looking for w110 and w123 magazine ads for a project I am working on. Does anybody here have one they could scan for me?

Ideally I'd need a hi-res scan of an ad in English (from Road & Track, Car & Driver or something similar). I can Paypal a few bucks for them if needed, no worries there.

Thanks!

You might find such ads in a library. For 110 ads you will need to look at higher income consumer publications. And full page ads seem to be rather rare, but you will find a lot of ads for the European Delivery Program in travel magazines.

Mercedes went mainstream in the 70's and full page 123 ads were in Road and Track and also in the Wall Street Journal. By the early 80's advertising tended to be more about the 116 and less about the 123.

I hope this helps a bit.

Here is everything that I was able to find on my machine that wasn't a photograph (I have plenty of those if you're interested). Also if it's an important project then you might want to look up "Brookland Books" portfolios. I have one for my G-Class and it has just about every print advertisement for the series since it's inception in 1979. I would imagine that there should also be one for the W123

Wow, great ads...the AMG W123's are really cool - I didn't know the wagons were ever done in that trim.

I have a few brochures from the 70's and early 80's...if anyone wants scans of particular models, let me know.
