Ac Compressor Oil York R210 "78" 300CD
I just ordered my 2nd York R210 compressor and want to get tis one right. York compressor R210. I always thought that 8oz was enough oil. Mercedes DVDs for 1978 300cd states that 6.5oz is the minimum, normal 8oz and 10oz is the Max: and then…..I found this (link Below) excellent technical manual for The York R210 and it stated 14oz. 14oz is way to much what do you think? Take a look at this link-------

AC York Oil
14oz oil applies only if you replace compressor, condensor, dryer and evap. I still have problem understanding this. If you flush the entire system it appear to me that all the oil in the condensor would be flushed. Most people and compressor mfg recommend adding 8oz of oil. Mercedes Technical DVD stated a minium of 6.2oz and not over 10oz. What amount do you recommed after flushing the sytem and replacing, compressor, dryer and exp valve?
