Anyone have some info?

I'm thinking that if I choose to use the W123 Getrag, I can lengthen/shorten the W115 shift rods.
As far as the engine to bellhousing plate, I'm guessing I need one from a W123 240D.
Same deal with the speedometer cable?

I wonder if you have the same output shaft on your replacement transmission. A good transmission man could have the your current unit torn down in 2 hours. I've had the pleasure of seeing a rebuild first hand.

I've actually built quite a few transmissions so this would be pretty straight forward, however I really doubt the output shafts are compatible seeing as one trans is a MB unit and the other a Getrag.
I'd love to find someone with a spare iron box output shaft laying around I could throw in my original trans.
