plug wires to distributor

I replaced my plugs and wire cap are rotor on my 1962 mercedes 190c, kinda forgot where each wire goes on on the distributor, tried looking for it in my manual but i can't find anything.

There should be a firing order cast into the head or engine somewhere. Try to put the engine at TDC and put the plug wire that the rotor is pointing to to #1 cyl. Then continue rotating the engine watching which point in the distributor the rotor goes to next. That position is where the next plug wire goes to based on the firing order information. Continue on till they are all hooked up.

Firing order is 1 3 4 2

Number one spark plug wire is in the 4-5 o'clock position.

Firing order should be on the valve cover on that motor

It'll say zundefulge (sp?) 1 3 4 2

If you pull off the distributor cap, you can find #1 cylinder by looking for a small notch in the top rim of the distributor body. Clockwise from there.
