Electrical flow unsteady?

Hi All,

My 71 Merc 250 (w114) has a really faint (but noticable) waining on and off of the electrical current?

I notice it in my instrument cluster lighting, and both the interior lights at night.

What is that (how can I make it more steady; resistor issue?)

Jub

Is this when running the engine? Could be a bad alternator, battery or voltage regulator. After that a bad ground, etc. Check battery connections first. And remember, voltage checks do not always mean a healthy output of amperage.

I just went through the same issue on my Range Rover. It was the voltage regulator.
