Hi there!

I took off the carb. because the motor would not stay running, and it looked like gasoline was pooling at the bottom of the intake. You are not going to believe this.....someone tried to use what looks like blue silicone sealer to seal the carb to the gaskets. What a sticky stringy mess.

This is not why I am posting....what I need help with is this little black cam that seems to have fallen from the nowhere. Where does it go? I looked and couldn't readily see a place for it. Also when taking off the hose clamps from the choke, one of the ends was, well, ...ther ewasn't an end on it anymore. Living south of Tampa, can I get by without replacing the choke gadget? I really would like to get this engine running, so I can see/hear how well it has survived so far, and wether it merits any more funds.

Thanks for your time. -Larry
