The little Benz that could!!!

I will start by saying I love my little Benz. What a great car!

The quick story goes: Wife called me at work, she is stuck. The Rover starter is dead and it won't start. I leave work to go get her. I hook up her Rover to the Benz and pull her to a safe place that I can leave it for a short time till I can get my truck to pull her home. Get home and there is about a foot of snow and the ol girl just goes right through it! I do love my little diesel.

It seems she earned at least some make up primer for her front parts.

I miss Colorado...but not driving in snowstorms. That I don't miss.

OTOH, I never got to tow a RR with a diesel benz. Maybe that would be the deciding factor!

BTW, perfect thread title.

LOL, it does seem backwards a bit.

What year is your 220D? Sure do like the passenger front fender. Same color as our chocolate malt 220D !! Also a proud owner, even though no longer driveable.

The rear brakes started locking up many years ago. Attempted to do the whl cylinders, but it was likely the hoses. Back then I was not aware of the hose delamination problem, and there were few if any local folks with Benz specific knowledge. That was long ago, and before I ever found the Forum. The car has been sitting outside so long now that I doubt there is much hope for a restart.

Might be interesting to try though !!!
