69 280SL running rich, timing, points, dwell, all check. t-stat, injection timming, cold start valve all check. Don't know about the linkage?

Linkage??? I have no specs for the linkage! I am thinking the linkage is set wrong or the mixture is. Does anyone have linkage specifications so I can get it in the ball park to tune? Oh, by the way I have a SE coup with the same problem . I have the old tech book starting in 59, does not have the 280SL in it.

Linkage settings are in the service manual published for the 113 and available from dealers for about $50-75. A must have. Also on CD for a bit more. Sounds like you already addressed the basics like timing, idle stop. cold start, etc. Did you test the t-stat on the injection pump? Did you replace the air filter on the injection pump?
