Has anybody bought from ebay seller w114selo ? w114

Hello forum,

Long time!

I'm wondering if any of you has ever frequented this ebay store?

Vintage MB aftermarket parts from Turkey. I assume there are plenty of 114/115 still on the road there, as he is a goldmine of various otherwise hard to find parts.

MOULDING, TRIM items in MERCEDES W115 store on eBay!

I know some of you only go OEM, but I'm wondering how well his door seals fit.. He has a lot of good feedback but hard to gauge.

In my experience, he is pleasant to deal with, however, the quality of some of the parts may be suspect. I purchased a headliner for a W111 sedan. The headliner that arrived was not even close to fitting. It turns out one for a W111 coupe was sent instead.

Because the parts come from overseas, shipping can take a while. The seller sent out another headliner, and this, of course took considerable time to receive, but is not the fault of the seller. The replacement headliner seemed to be the correct dimensions, but the perforated holes weren't punched out very cleanly, or completely, so it had a cheap look. The bow loops weren't attached well, in some places not at all, and there was permanent ink all over the outside that I could not remove.

With as much work at is to install a headliner (and then the windshields are installed over it), I convinced the owner of the car to get a refund and get an OEM headliner from Mercedes-Benz. It was twice the price, but it was the real thing and fantastic quality.

With this said, w114selo was apologetic on the phone, did try to make it right, and refunded our money. However, I think that the manufacturer didn't put much care into the headliner.

I have read on a few occasions that the quality of the door and trunk seals is terrible. I have been curious about some of the other parts like the new Euro headlights he sells. So far, the quality of the parts seems poor, but the seller seems honest and all of the parts may not be bad.

I bought the door seals for my W108 from him and I don't like the quality at all; no holes for the clips and I had to cut them.
I can't compare to other aftermarket brands, but these suck!

I had really bad experience on my 2nd purchase, roof liner (which still on the box) .... It took more than 3 months to arrive. It was sent to Brazil!

I'm very tempted on the NEW Euro headlights for my W116 at $300.. But I'm afraid of quality.... But it's almost the same price of used ones.... But the quality. Damn. I'll pass.

Thanks so much for that insight. Not exactly what I was wanting to hear as far as the quality goes... But this forum is invaluable!

I too am looking at the headlight clusters for the w114.

Very tempting but most likely I'd get what I pay for. I have a pair of used ones on the car now, but the reflectors are pitted.

Thumbs down purchase

Yes,
I have. Bought head light reflectors supposedly for my 114 with Euro head lights.
Uuuhh, never again. They did not fit at all right. Lousy quality also.
Brrrr. Out.
Sorry 'bout that!

Jenno, you mean these (see attached).

I have yet to fit them, but for what I paid it seems fairly square. I know I bought a shifter and some glass as well. For hard to find items at a decent price you can't beat the guy- even has window seals.

I don't know, verdicts still out I guess.

I did. To my regret. Ordered door seals for my SE 4.5. All I can say is I received rubber but they definitely were not door seals for the SE 4.5......

So, I installed reflectors yesterday.

The fit was right: had to bend the metal brackets a little to get it to fit perfect (no big deal). The little light under the main headlight (the 5W-ish bulb), had a positive lead but was missing the negative one (maybe thats what everyone was talking about).

But again, no big deal. Just took a wire and attached two male ends (one went to the female negative wire, and the other end I jammed through the rubber grommet to make contact with the negative end of the bulb). Worked fine.

Oh, the quality was highly reflective. BUT, if you rubbed it- the reflective stuff would come off (I dropped a little dielectric grease on it by accident and wiped it off and it smudged the reflector part (so, just don't really touch it and you'll be fine).

I'll post pics of the final install later on (after I get off work).

I feel as though door seals are always problematic (have 2 URO's on mine and HAAAAATE them; total embarassment- my wife mocks me everytime I have to slam her door shut 2 or 3 times). You just have to bite the bullet and buy the originals from MBZ manufacturer.

That being said, I bought the pilar seals from him (50 bucks for all 4), and they are shear perfection (brand new covered with baby powder; fit perrrfect). In fact, I thought originally that they wre 50 bucks each so I bought 2 (sent him 100). Dude emailed me and essentially told me it was 50 for all four (ie, he refunded my 50 and sent me all four- 2 more than what I thought to begin with)! As far as I know, he is the ONLY one selling these.

Can post pics of these if anyone is interested/debating the buy.
