W114 Coupe red taillights before and after.

Super easy swap. Picked up the lenses from a car being parted out for $75, not bad considering a new set would be $200+

I like the solid red ones on that color car.

Waiting on me LED bulbs to arrive!

Thanks, me too. The interior is all red as well. The amber looked out of place. ANd I'll be running amber LED bulbs so They still blink yellow for safety purposes.

Amber turn lenses were used from mid '70 up. Standard on U.S. models.

360 degree ambers for the turn signals and 120 degree red for the brakes.

Mike, I had the amber lenses on the car. I like the look of the All red lens so I swapped them out, but I like my turn signals blinking amber.

Yup, I know. Just posted that for general information should anyone try to find some red lenses.

But which ones?
The one I have on the car now work fine but they are not bright enough.
I am looking to replace them with 1157 16w Cree style LEDs, well worth spending the extra money the first time
