Need 1973 280C rear side Quarter Panel Mldg

My neighbor backed into my 1973 280C (114) at the driver's side rear wheel opening and crushed the side 'bump' mldg. I can repair the DENT but need the mldg. Anybody out there?

Try JimFreeh here on the board. I've bought some "C" parts from him. Good quality stuff.

I checked a couple of on-line places. The molding is available "used" but they sure are proud of them. I'll keep checking the local places. You might drop a line to "alabassi" also. I think he might have a W114 or two sitting around.

I figure used is all I'll get anyway Mike...how 'proud' are they? Shipping to Hawaii will be awkward also.

Shipping won't be too bad, 'course that's because YOU'll be paying it, I always say, "When YOU'RE paying, price is no object". I plan on sticking them inside a PVC pipe to prevent them being crushed. I figure if I write, "Rocks being returned" on the outside of the package they'll be handled with some reverence.

$135+ depending on the condition.

Rocks...good one. The body shop estimate allowed for $140-160 for the mldg. plus shipping. So, $135 is good, I guess. Of course, my neighbor won't go through insurance and wer're working it out as 'friends'. I have a feeling I may end up on the loosing end but...life happens. Al led me to Tim Kraakevik who seems to have lots of parts. Of course I want a 'like new' (mine was nice) so let me know the exact particulars on what you have found.
Mahalo once again Mike , Craig
