W115 Vacuum diagram
I am kinda new to this forum and have searched throughout. I just picked up a 75 300D that's in great shape, excepting the vacuum system. It's capped and plugged here and there. I have no troubles looking around but I can see evidence of chewed through vac lines. Overall the central locking is not functioning, probably due to a massive leak, the A/C and heater fan will not come on via switch but do function if manually triggered. under the drivers side I can see two lines that are unhooked and seemingly chewed through, one is yellow (assuming door lock) and one is green (assuming HVAC) however where they go and what they supply is the trouble...
In all of that I am looking to see if anyone on here has a good color coded diagram for this I can find lots of 123 stuff but not really any 115 stuff? thanks for the help, MikeD>

If the vacuum locks on the late W115 control the same things as in the W123 (trunk, fuel filler cap, door locks) then I'm almost positive the layout would be the same. Color coding might be different but if you start from the back where there is only 1 vac circuit, then chase it up forward, you'll be able to get it done easily.
If you have a MightyVac, it's going to make the job so much easier. I'd start with the trunk then the vacuum reservoir then the fuel filler door. After those circuits, it gets more complex and you're going to have to take apart the door panels to get to the vacuum motors and test them to make sure the diaphragms are good. The passenger side, rear door is the farthest back in the door lock circuit but the vacuum reservoir throws in a snag and messes up an otherwise easy to follow "tree" with the engine being the trunk, doors being branches and the rear two circuits being leaves off one branch, so to speak. Good luck! Phil Forrest

Thanks Phil, got it sorted today. just chased it all around until it was sorted, the locks work now, so I rolled down the widows put it in the garage and locked it and I still have my inline vac gauge on it we will see in the morning if it held pressure. If not the leak cant be that bad, after all the car shut off after I connected the locks. The only other problem I have is the A/C switch is backwards somehow? when I turn on the fan, the A/C comes one until I turn the A/C knob to the "colder" setting, then the heater fan comes on I wonder if I connected the vac lines wrong???
