Notice you had one in your collection. Don't know about you but not a day goes by when someone doesn't roll down there window and comment on how sweet my ride is. My 71 stroke 8 in Prussian Blue with custom leather 2 tone interior is a rare bird in these parts. Gonna have to take my word on this, but I am one happy (and never lonely) man. Priceless to me (classy as classic gets).

Decent instrument lighting upgrade, although perhaps a bit bright (would tend to draw eyes inside when driving in darkness?)

As for which mods are good and which not, I'll agree with others who've said it depends on the purpose for having the car. For collections/show/investment, stock is the way to go. If you own it to drive it, then things that make it drive better are cool with me. I'm down to one Mercedes (from a high of three and was getting ready to make it four at one point), and my only major mod has been a manual transmission conversion. I'm also planning an early W126 vented front brake upgrade in the future, and maybe a sportier exhaust if the stock one ever has issues. I would also consider bigger sway bars, stiffer springs, and 15 or 16 inch wheels and tires to improve handling.
