Hood pad

Just received a new insulated hood pad. I have a question. Which side do I apply the glue the foam side or the other side?

Most of the pads I have seen like this have a foam side and a fuzzy side. The fuzzy side goes towards the engine since it has more sound absorbing material facing the source.

Don't just tack it up there. A lot of the engine noise you hear is the hood rattling and vibrating. Apply the glue evenly so the hood pad will not only absorb sound but will also decrease the vibration of the hood.

Vibration=noise.
